शब्दों पर बने मुकुट

जब हज़रत मूसा यहूदी बाइबल के कुछ खास हिस्सों को लिखने के लिए स्वर्ग पधारे तब ईश्वर ने उनसे तोरा* के कुछ शब्दों के ऊपर छोटे-छोटे मुकुट बना देने के लिए कहा.

मूसा ने ईश्वर से पूछा – “हे परमपिता, आपने ये मुकुट किसलिए बनवाये हैं?”

ईश्वर ने कहा – “क्योंकि अब से सैंकड़ों पीढ़ियों के बाद अकिवा नामक एक व्यक्ति इनकी व्याख्या करेगा.”

मूसा ने ईश्वर से पूछा – “क्या आप अकिवा द्वारा की गयी व्याख्या मुझे दिखा सकते हैं?”

ईश्वर ने मूसा को भविष्य का दर्शन कराया. वहां रब्बाई अकिवा अपनी कक्षा में शिष्यों को पढ़ा रहा था. एक शिष्य ने अकिवा से पूछा – “रब्बाई, पुस्तक में कुछ शब्दों के ऊपर मुकुट किसलिए बनाए गए हैं?”

“मैं नहीं जानता” – अकिवा ने उत्तर दिया – “और मुझे लगता है कि हज़रत मूसा को भी इनके बारे में पता नहीं रहा होगा. उन्होंने ऐसा शायद यही बताने के लिए किया होगा कि ईश्वर के कुछ कार्यों के बारे में कुछ नहीं जानते हुए भी हम उसके विवेक पर भरोसा कर सकते हैं.”

When Moses ascended to Heaven to write a certain part of the Bible, the Almighty asked him to place small crowns on some letters of the Torah. Moses said: “Master of the Universe, why draw these crowns?” God answered: “Because one hundred generations from now a man called Akiva will interpret them.”

“Show me this man’s interpretation,” asked Moses.

The Lord took him to the future and put him in one of Rabbi Akiva’s classes. One pupil asked: “Rabbi, why are these crowns drawn on top of some letters?”

“I don’t know.” Replied Akiva. “And I am sure that not even Moses knew. He did this only to teach us that even without understanding everything the Lord does, we can trust in his wisdom.”
